Sam Willis, RVT
I graduated from Lakeland College in May 2012. I did my practicum here at Vermilion Veterinary clinic and was happy to be hired on after that. My role has changed over the years but I am happy to be mainly working at the front desk.
I grew up in Saskatchewan and have enjoyed living in Vermilion since the fall of 2010. I live in Vermilion with my husband Matt, our daughter Harper. We also have two dogs and two cats.
We have a Springer Spaniel named Liv, and a Australian Shepherd named Kid. Our cats are Flec & Leonard.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and doing dog agility.
I was born in southwestern Saskatchewan and lived there until I was nine, when my family moved to Youngstown, Alberta.
After high school I took a summer job with the Special Areas Parks Department, and then spent the next ten months as a stable hand at Coleman Farm near Sherwood Park. I attended New Brunswick Bible Institute for the 2018-19 school year, followed by another summer on the Parks Department.
I started as a general assistant at Vermilion Vet Clinic in October 2019. I'm enjoying the people I get to work with, as well as the wide variety of tasks.
Corlene Sadler, DVM
I was born and raised in the most southern tip of Africa, sunny South Africa, and received my Veterinary degree from the University of Pretoria, in November 2002.
After working in small animal practice in the UK for 4 years, I moved back to South Africa, working in various clinics over the years.
Our family made the big move to Canada in December 2018, and I started working at VVC in January 2019.
We are still trying to get used to the weather, but the welcoming and friendly nature of the people of Vermilion has made the move so much easier for us, and I look forward meeting more of the towns' furbabies.
Breanne Hryhirchuk, RVT
I graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Lakeland College in June of 2019. I then completed my practicum at West Wind Veterinary Hospital and was hired at Vermilion Veterinary Clinic shortly after.
I have always had a strong passion for animals and growing up around the animals on the family farm, I knew from a young age that I wanted to work in the veterinary industry. I am most passionate about working with dogs, cats and horses but I have been enjoying working with cattle and look forward to learning more as I grow in my career.
I currently have 2 fur babies one being my lovely horse Ginger and the other being my little dog TJ both of which I adore. I have already adopted a stray kitten from the clinic and with my plans to move out to a farm with my boyfriend Brayden, I’m sure there will be more to come!
I have been grooming dogs and cats at Wainwright Vet Services and Vermilion Vet Clinic since June 2009.
I provide full grooming services from hair cuts to bath and brush. I will even give your special kitty a creative hair cut upon request!

Jessie Schoff, RVT
I graduated from Lakeland College the spring of 2018. I did my practicum at Viking Veterinary Clinic and was hired at Vermilion Veterinary Clinic right after.
Growing up on the farm I had the opportunity to work with all species of animals. My favourite part of the job is working with cattle, from processing calves to C-sections.
My husband and I were married August 2019 and live on an acreage north of Wainwright. We have 2 cats, an Aussie named Luna and more outdoor animals o come.
Hi, I’m Franklin the Chinese Box turtle, I live at the Vermilion Veterinary Clinic. I require a certain environment so I have to live in a large terrarium where there is high humidity, UBV lighting as well as heat bulbs to keep my terrarium at a comfortable temperature. I was sent to my new home at the Vermilion Veterinary Clinic in 2013 from the pet store that was in Vermilion. I was born on July 19, 2008. My life expectancy is around 100 years so this will give me a lot of time to meet the wonderful people that come into the clinic daily.
I do enjoy basking in my water dish under the heat lamp. My favorite treat is the pure bites shrimp, I do get a lot throughout the day, some of the girls think I eat too many but it’s the perfect amount. I also love when people bring in earthworms during the spring and summer months. If you come across any I will be happy to have them as a snack. I love to get visitors since it’s the perfect time to show you how much I love my shrimp snacks.
